Good news
According to the cardio docs, my heart is fine and the only thing they could find was frequent PVCs, which shouldn't mean anything. My blood pressure is still fluctuating, but they have dc'd a couple of my meds and now I am only taking one b/p med, so I am hoping to be modulated soon. I see the cardio man again on the 22nd of June. More good news then I hope.
I took the findings to my primary care doc this morning who agreed that my heart is ok. He did note that my eyes were swollen and we discussed other symptoms and came to the conclusion that I have an allergy. I got a depo medrol shot and must go back in a month. He also told me to double up on my diabetes med and maybe we can get my numbers down there too.
I came home, fixed Gordon's lunch, baked some cookies for Gordon, ate my lunch and napped for about an hour. My eyes look better and my throat seems clearer. I have been having a dry hacky cough for a while, but never thought about the possibility of an allergy.
Gordon says it's probably the cats. Of course, I have had cats all my life and never had an allergy but that's not saying I couldn't have one now. We'll just have to see how things progress.
Other than that, life around here is just about the same. I am taking it one day at a time, trying not to complain too much, and thanking God for what we have.
Our 55th wedding anniversary is tomorrow, but it will pass like any other day, no fanfare, gifts or anything. Again, I am thanking God that we have each other, through thick and thin, in sickness and health, for better for worse, till death. I remember those kids who started out together, blinded by love and guided by our hearts.
Those kids are now much older, maybe a little wiser and still in love, still till death do us part.

55 years! That is a long time. I know I don't have to tell you, because you already know it. Congratulations for making it that many years. Not many people make it that far either. My first one lasted 42 years and now I am working on my second one which just made 7 years. So I am not all that far behind you.
Happy anniversary to you and Mr. Gordon! Wishing you everything good, tomorrow and always!
How sweet is that!
Hope you get your blood sugar where you want it too.
Glad your ticker is ok k-being a nurse I don't read the side effects cause then I'll have them but I noticed on t.v. they say that one of the pills I take could cause pvcs and a bunch of other stuff. I'm on Toprol and then Diltazem and so far Im doing well and my Bp is fine and they are just $10 for 3 months each at Walmart so I can't complain
Oh Thats great news !! Hope all your test come out good.
And don't you dare let that 55 go by without at least sticking a candle in a cupcake or piece of cornbread or something. And be sure you tell Gordon(several times) how lucky he is to have you !! John and I celebrated 40 years last week--and I still remind him everyday how luck he is---LOL
55 years and still tickin'!
much love, dotter
So happy for all the good medical news, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
Happy Anniversary!
And I'm very glad you got a good report!
Good news and Anniversary, too. Blessings to you and Gordon!!! Yeah! Stick a candle in a piece of cornbread; that's a great idea that Maggie had!

Happy Anniv!
Tell Gordon you may be allergic to dust, to humidity, to mold, but not the cats! You've had them how long with no reaction?
Happy anniversary to you and Mr. Gordon! Glad everything with the heart is okay! I bet it isn't the cats. Maybe something you have been putting on them. But surely with as long as you have been around them not now. HOpe you feel better soon.
Oh, that is good news. And I know I'm late but I hope you enjoyed
the Anniversary... Congrats.

55th sounds fantastic. I suspect we are near the same age dear. And, yes that was an old grade school riddle.
